As Zhanjiang becomes increasingly international, its global “circle of friends” continues to expand. To date, Zhanjiang has established friendship ties with 25 cities worldwide, further enhancing its international appeal and reputation.

“Friendship, which derives from close contact between peoples, holds the key to sound state-to-state relations.” On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, Zhanjiang’s sister and friendship cities-Cairns (Australia), Sucy-en-Brie (France), and Rovaniemi (Finland) -have recorded video messages, sending their warmest wishes across mountains and seas to Zhanjiang.
